Classes & Workshops

Check out our current and upcoming dance classes listed below. Students taking any weekday class can attend our Weekly Tuesday Open Dance for FREE.

What class should I take?
Beginning Swing is different every month.  Week 1 will get you oriented to swing dance footwork, rhythms and partner connection, and we will build on those skills throughout the month.  We encourage people to take these classes for 1-6 months.
Other classes expect you to be familiar with the skills learned in Beginning Swing.  If you are not sure if you are ready for a class, check in with the instructor or email us to ask.

**The prerequisites for this class are: To be able to do a swing-out from closed, swing-out from open, and lindy circle at 130 beats per minute or faster.

While reinforcing lead and follower skills, this 3-week class is intended to build your repertoire of Lindy Hop moves. Many of these moves will be based on the Swing Out as a starting point, as well as the Lindy Circle.

Because this class will be in the smaller downstairs Oak Room, there will be a limit to class size and pre-registration is necessary to assure a spot. If you register, and find that you won't be able to attend, send an email to contact@vermontswings.com so a student on the waiting list can be notified that a space is open. Register on this page.

Cost: $40 for the 3 week series or $15/$10 for students per week
